The close beach of Prevelis is one of the best and famous coasts in the whole island of Crete. Both tourists and local citizens adore that beach and in the summer time is full of people.

There are two ways to go at Prevelis:

The first one is to drive until Prevelis Monastery and walk down the steps accross the beach. You have to walk about 10-15 minutes.

The second one is to drive until Plakias and from there you can take the boat for Prevelis beach. The boat starts from Plakias at 10:30 and goes back to Plakias at 16:00.

The visitor can see a marvelous landscape that is characterized by the river finishing in the sea and the many palm trees round the river. If you ever be there you must walk through the river. Marvelous points with small waterfalls and beautifull plants are inside the river that waiting to visit them.

In Prevelis beach exist some small shops for souvenirs or for launch and it is an organized coast with umbrellas and deck chairs.
